The Persian Language
Khosh amadid! That’s means “Welcome” in Persian. Did you know that you Persian is not only spoken in Iran but has different forms of it spoken in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Russia and Azerbaijan!
Persian is an Indo-European language and has 110 million speakers. It is an important language of the Middle East and Central Asia. One of the world’s most famous Sufi poets Rumi wrote his masterpieces in Persian such as his famous Masnavi which is an incredible read for those of you looking for spiritual guidance!
